Ashton Lodge(Edgware)
Ashton Lodge is our latest brand new 92 bed care centre built to the highest specification to meet the ever evolving national Care Standards. The Home is situated on 95 Edgware Road within a few minutes walking distance to local shops and bus routes. The Centre is due to open its doors to its first Service Users in July 2010. Registration for Service Users requiring Nursing and dementia care, alongside physical disability and frailty is well underway.
Ashton Lodge is keen to establish strong links with the local community and health & social care agencies providing information and support to people living in the centre and their families and friends. Strong links with Age concern , The Alzheimer’s Society and local social services will assist with this.
Ashton Lodge has excellent training room facilities that will be available to such organisations and other local clubs and associations which we hope will further develop our links within the local community and provide easy access to information for people living in the centre and their relatives.
Our meals are cooked on the premises by our resident Chef and our menus offer a variety of appetising meals. We are able to cater for special diets for medical, religious or cultural reasons.
We appreciate that making a decision to enter a nursing home can be stressful. We would strongly recommend that you (or your representative) visit other nursing homes in the area to assist in your choice. We realise there may be times when there are concerns or worries that need to be discussed. Our staff are always available to talk these concerns through with you. We will work with you to resolve any difficulties you may be experiencing.
We actively encourage your comments on your care provision.
Visitors are encouraged and welcomed at any time throughout the day. Family and friends are invited to join us for special occasions like Birthdays and Christmas and to accompany us on outings. Other regular visitors to the Home include your General Practitioner, Social Worker, Dentist, Optician, Chiropodist, Hairdresser and Clergy. We are also visited by Specialist Nurses, Dietician, Speech and Language Therapist, Wheelchair Service and Consultants as required. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms feel like home.
Our Manager is committed to partnership working and offers a transparent approach to the management of her centre. She has an open door policy and actively welcomes any comments, ideas and suggestions that may assist her in running of the centre.
